MY EXPERIENCE

Roles & Responsibilities

Resume: Experience

PRODUCT MANAGER, RUGGABLE LOS ANGELES

August 2020 - Present

As a leader on the Global eCommerce team, I oversee our product launch, personalization and merchandising global strategies for US and international markets. I work with our team including UX designers, developers, analysts and associates to create personalized, impactful shopping experiences for our customers and collaborate with stakeholders across the org, from ops and marketing to finance and product.

SENIOR STRATEGIC OPERATIONS MANAGER, UBER SANTA MONICA

April 2020 - June 2020

I made the big jump from finance to the strategy and operations world by joining the California rideshare city operations team. It is known that Uber moves at a pace unrivaled and you are expected to deliver very early on...and they were not wrong. During my full-time-role turned COVID-imposed "internship," I learned SQL, launched the "UberMedics" product in Southern California, identified and spearheaded strategic initiatives in CA impacting our P&L, implemented national functional business strategies on a local level, and was responsible for monitoring, correcting, and executing business processes in our LA and San Diego markets. Being able to come in to a new role and industry, have ownership, and create and implement change in such a short time really solidified my career change. What was three months felt like a year, and I wouldn't trade my Uber experience for anything.

DEALS ADVISORY SENIOR ASSOCIATE, PWC NYC

June 2018 - March 2020

As a consultant, I helped client's evaluate acquisition targets through taking data-intensive client information and transforming it into in depth analyses that dove deep into the business and led to meaningful insights that impacted business strategies and deal value. Through owning the data analysis process and working alongside our client executive team and stakeholders, I drilled down to the core of the business to  uncover weaknesses, opportunities, and potential synergies from the acquisition. Everything came together in the end with a nice bow in the form of a comprehensive, due diligence executive report to be used by consultants, bankers and client leadership teams and inform their acquisition strategies. My work and experience on cross-functional teams coming up with out-of-the-box ideas and approaches to our processes propelled me to make the head-first jump into Strategy.

INTERNATIONAL TAX EXPERIENCED ASSOCIATE, PWC NYC

June 2016 - June 2018

Working with clients of all sizes across all industries, I led engagement processes and created analyses that targeted our client's multinational exposure to ambiguous US tax legislation. I created updatable models for recurring projects leading to higher profit margins, worked with cross functional teams to create a multinational structure that was the most tax advantaged, and gained exposure to the international business world through collaboration with PwC teams and clients from across the globe.

GRADUATE ASSISTANT, UGA EN ESPAÑA VALENCIA, SPAIN

January 2016 - May 2016

I loved my study abroad experience so much, I just had to go back. This time as a graduate assistant responsible for facilitating the experiences of 31 students in this immersive program. Arguably the job where I have worn the most hats, I was part event planner, languge assistant, travel planner and mom -taking kids to the hospital or helping them navigate the city I came to love so much.

SUMMER INTERN, KPMG NYC

May 2014 - August 2014

This was my first real experience in the world of professional services where I worked with multinational clients to solve and address complicated tax challenges. It was during this time that I discovered I could combine my passion and education in both Accounting and International Business through work in International Tax providing a unique and valuable service to clients.

MY SKILLS

Tricks of the Trade

Resume: Skills

DATA ANALYSIS

Big numbers girl

KPIs, seasonality, trends...I love to see it. As a data storyteller, I take raw data, transform it through detailed and creative analyses, and then take a step back to look objectively and see where the story lies (the important 'so what?'). While the bulk of my experience has been creating modeling masterpieces in Excel, I have expanded beyond that by learning SQL on the job at Uber and Google Analytics for fun. My experience is diverse, from owning key market metrics to identifying KPI's and trends that drove insights on the growth potential of target companies.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Multitasking at its finest

I have acted as leader and project manager for both processes and projects. My experience includes ownership of all facets of the lifecycle: planning, scoping, budgeting, managing project timelines and deliverables, leading meetings, and coordinating teams and stakeholders. Being close to this process equips me to prioritize critical tasks, implement efficiencies, and anticipate outcomes and stakeholder expectations. At PwC, I created efficiencies on repeatable processes that decreased input time and costs resulting in favorable margin effects.

CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT (CPA)

So, can you do our taxes?

Sadly no, I use TurboTax myself, but being a CPA is so much more than Accounting! I spent a very long and challenging year studying for the four part certification exams. My determination and grit was challenged, but I learned that motivation (and a lot of coffee) equipped me to not only to meet, but overcome the obstacles before me. I have utilized this mindset ever since, especially as I sought out diverse work experiences or laid the groundwork for a big career jump into Strategy in Tech.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

Bringing our best to the table

I thrive in collaborative, team environments and appreciate the diversity of experience and thought that each member brings to the table. I actively seek out opportunities to go beyond my own experiences in order to learn more about the business or function. At Uber, I was able to own my very first product launch in Southern California through coordination with city ops, central ops, product, legal, and engineering.

BUSINESS OPERATIONS & STRATEGY

But, I thought you studied Accounting?

Accounting taught me to be a detailed, methodical thinker and problem solver. I learned how businesses work. Having this knowledge and experience in different business environments, I can bring a unique skillset to the table using data analysis, structured thinking, and business acumen to tackle the big challenges that organizations face and identify the strategies to solve them. This was put to the test as I hit the ground running at Uber and owned the San Diego market.

SPANISH

Combining work and passion

I fell in love with Spanish culture at a young age and was determined to learn the language. Years of studying, traveling, and ultimately living in Spain brought my skill to the next level and opened doors for me to combine my passion for the language with work experiences in South America and Latin America during my time at PwC.

TRAVELING

True Self-Fulfillment

As the daughter of a pilot, travel is in my genes. I have been lucky enough to experience 84 countries. From backpacking across Eastern Europe, to desert journeys in the Sahara, getting up close and personal with my "uncomfort zone" and learning from the people, cultures, and cuisines of this world has lit a fire in me. In endless pursuit of confronting my unknown, I can't wait to get out there and see the rest of the world!

EXPERIMENTAL COOKING

No Recipe, No Problem

My love of travel is mostly food based. My favorite souvenirs are the spices, recipes, ideas, and stories brought back and shared on my table with friends and family.

BOXING

Fitness and Stress Relief All in One

I played competitive sports throughout my childhood and felt like a piece of me was missing once I was in college. Enter Boxing. It has filled my competitive void and been an amazing outlet to grow and measure my progress over the years.

ROLLERBLADING

My Latest Hobby

I went from city-dweller in the East Village to beach bum in Santa Monica. I was excited for a more outdoors and active life here in California and fully leaned into it upon buying my first set of skates. You can find me on the boardwalk!
