Due to the confidential nature of my roles in both M&A and Operations, I sadly can't share the final product of my work during my time there. But, no worries! Below you'll find a sample of my work product through case studies I prepared in the interview process over the years...everything from investment memos to presentations. Each and every opportunity challenged me to think beyond my financial foundation and pushed me to be a more creative and entrepreneurial thinker.
BYTE DATA ASSESSMENT AND PRESENTATION
Marketing & Sales Analysis and Process Recommendations
I love using data to inform decisions and create intentional strategic plans that affect all areas of the business. I was able to identify opportunities in the Marketing, Sales and Operations process through in-depth analysis of data provided for a 4 month period. The data was less than pristine, but I was able to use the information to identify key insights especially around the sales process in days and thinking about the customer experience. It was a really exciting challenge to also consider what would create the best foundation to set byte up for success as they scale and grow into new markets around the world!

UN WORLD HAPPINESS REPORT
Data Analysis and Storytelling
Is money the key to happiness? I cleaned up and investigated the 2015-2017 UN report data from scratch putting my data skills to the test. Through creating a comprehensive analysis diving deep into regional, country, and factor nuances, the "formula" to happiness became more clear. I had the challenge of taking these in-depth analyses and transforming them into a short, high-impact report with key insights and takeaways.

Revenue Model and Business Overview Presentation
The cannabis market is more than up and coming, it has amazing profitability potential and endless possibilities when it comes to products, verticals and services. I created a revenue model from scratch without a dataset for two WeedMaps business lines based on company, competition, and industry trends using insights from my research. I used this information as a basis for an exec report that outlined industry trends, business insights, and came up with three potential new verticals or initiatives that WM could move into to capture market share. I loved the challenge of not only creating something from scratch, but creating a product that was in an industry completely unfamiliar to me.

Planning and Performance Management Ventures Case Study
The age old question - where do we invest?! I loved completing this case study, because it brought me back to my accounting roots through creating a framework that analyzed two hypothetical start-up investments in the food and beverage industry. I was challenged to apply my knowledge and experience to the venture capital world and evaluated the assessment criteria of each business and also identified additional insights that impact the ultimate investment decision.

Improving Operations at Pillow Co. Case Study
I am passionate about operations, because it uses both sides of my brain - I get to be an analytical and logical thinker, but then take it to the next level through applying my creative side to come up with strategies that work. Here I created a high-level margin analysis and strategy for driving improvements across the fictional direct-to-consumer start-up, "Pillow Co."

Financial Planning Forecast Model for New Office
Looking to take raw data and transform it for your business? I'm up to the challenge! I created a financial model from scratch to forecast and plan the impact of opening a potential new
sales office in Austin, TX. While I have never created a model of this type before, I was able to learn best practices and add dynamic functionality to model out different scenarios. It was a great way to leverage my experience working with SaaS companies and utilize my business experience to think a little more critically about future implications and profitability of this strategic move.
